  Definitely the hotel’s best asset isits people. EVERYONE isso friendly and accommodating. Wetravel quite alot and Ihave never been toa hotel where every staff treats you asan important quest. The amenities are very nice. The only lacking which I’m sure there’s areason, isthe lack ofaccess tofood. Wefelt socomfortable, athome, and walked about like locals- thankyou! Our 34th anniversary trip isa success!!

  Beautiful ballroom, lovely staff, and anold school feel ofKauai. Love how you can take awalk onthe path behind hotel and safely snorkel. Good spot for families with little kids!

  Disappointed with mystay- coffee maker did not work and Iwas told that Icould “do toStarbucks just down the road.”; de-humidifier inmy room needed tobe emptied; one ofthe lamps did not work;and, Iwas not allowed tocheck out late. Prefer the treatment Iget from Marriott properties

  The location isnice. Itis centrally located sogetting toSouth/North shore ofKauai iswithin anhour ononeend. The property isnicely located and its beach isnice aswell. The room isclean first look atit but there were ants inthe room. Few problems encountered and asked them tobe fixed but nothing was done. Don't expect staff going beyond atthis property. They will try not toupgrade your room even asa Diamond member. The property has the potential tobe great ifthe serviceimproves abit.… – show

  It's probably atwo star hotel. Very tired and worn out property loaded with deferred maintenance. The staff isnice and dotheir best but Hilton needs toinvest toupgradeit.

  We loved staying here. The rooms are clean and pretty updated considering how old most buildings inHawaiiare. The resort fee perks are great and easily accessed. There isa beach right behind the resort that you can walkto. The only negative isthat the ACwas alittle weak. Wewould definitely stay here again.

  We had agreat stay atthe Hilton WailuaBay! Alot ofthese negative reviews are soharsh sodon’t let them deter you from staying here. Oscar gave usa very friendly welcome upon our arrival. Weopted for the Honors breakfast and were pleasantly surprised that breakfast was served restaurant style. The food was terrific every morning and weloved having Gwen asour waitress. All ofthe staff here wereso,so, sonice! Myonly recommendation for improvement isto make sure housekeeping comes toroom upon request. Werequested itone day and they didn’t come toclean. Otherwise wehad aclean, comfortable, lovely stay!… – show

  Stayed ina 1bedroom cottage for 7nights. The cottage had lots ofroom and had anice covered mostly private lanai. Nice place tosit during the inevitable rain showers that passed occasionally. It's ashort walk tothe beach that has both wavy and protected areas along with public restrooms and outdoor showers. There are rock enclosed swimming areas where you can snorkel. Nocoral but alot offish tosee. There are two nice pools onthe property.

  therwise, the hotel location isacon. The hotel has arestaurant for agood breakfast and sometimes dinner after6pm. The tiki bar sometimes opens at430pm for dinner. Otherwise, there are some packaged sandwiches, salads and snacks that can bepurchased atthe front desk. There aren't really any convenient restaurants nearby. You can drive across the bridge tothe nearby town toa sparse collection, but atypical traffic gridlock makes the short drive back take along time. The hotel has arrangements for delivery, but adelivery will typically take well over anhour. Mealtimes have tobe well planned. The traffic issues can also make returning tothe hotel after along day tedious.

  The hotel isclean and inmostly great shape. Itis alittle worn out and could use some refreshing. One example isthe rain gutters around the main building. They are corroded and the holes drip directly onthe walkways. Another issue was the wireless access inour cottage was awful. Barely any strength and continuously disconnecting. Had touse mymobile phone asa hotspot for anything beyond email. Forced meto gooutside and actually dothings. Isthat apro orcon?

  Finally, the chickens. They are everywhere. They were interesting inthe beginning, but got old real fast. Imagine dozing ina lounger bythe pool when arooster sneaks upbehind you and CROWS just inches behind your head. Iate chicken that evening inretaliation.

  Great location for off shore snorkeling. Ona downside for the moment isthat there are very limited hours for food and drink onthe Hilton property. But understandle. However, you are walking distance tothe Coconut FarmersMarket. With anABC market, tons ofshops and other Food and drink places. Along the way you will find other business and local bakery, food kitchen, antique store toexperience.

  We had awonderful three night stay. Our room was onthe ground level bythe pool. All ofthe staff were super friendly and helpful. The menu atthe bar was small but everything was really good. Highly recommend the mai'kai co*cktail aswell asthe chicken sandwich orburger

  The location ofthe Hilton isthe only reason for the 2star review. The location onthe island iscentrally located and perfect toexplore both the north and south sides ofKauai. Wepaid for aKing Ocean View room and asyou can see inthe photo had only atiny view ofthe ocean ifyour face was against the glass asmajority ofour view/window was almost entirely taken upby atree right outside the window. What awaste ofmoney toupgrade. Westayed 4nights here and onthe 3rd night wereturned tothe room tofind the carpet flooded and soakingwet. Wewent tothe front desk and were informed that the room below ushad also flooded and they would need tomoveus. Wewere moved toa double queen non-ocean view room across the property with nodecrease incost oradditional compensation for the downgrade despite usnow staying there for half ofthe stay. When weinquired about compensation wewere told “well you went through Costco” insinuating that there was nothing that they could offerus. Ihad high expectations for the Hilton but regret staying here asit took away from our overall vacation and added unnecessary stress/frustration. Pay the money tostay somewhere else. Weare highly disappointed inthis property and would not recommend staying here. The overall quality isso poor, Iam shocked that Costco even offers this hotel for their customers.… – show

  The hotel has agreat location. Wewalked tothe beach for sunrise every morning, snorkeled inthe beach right outside our room, and walked the grounds ofthe park/beach regularly. The chickens outside our bungalow were somuch fun towatch. Wemissed our kids the entire trip facing aHUGE beautiful park and will have tocome back with the kids. Parking for the bungalows isconveniently located right out front the room. This made iteasy carrying things in/out and for food delivery tocome straight toour door. Unfortunately, the front desk isterribly understaffed (I get itCOVID, but Ifelt bad for the staff) soanytime weneeded something ittook along time ina long line. There were co*ckroaches and mosquitos inour room upon check-in and took anentire day before someone came tospray the room.… – show

  Clean, well maintained common areas and rooms. Comfortable beds and nice pool. Great views from our room. Wewere treated like esteemed guests from the moment wecheckedin. Great front desk staff and friendly housekeeping personnel. Only negative was the understaffed service and long lines atMama Hunes. The breakfast atthe Garden grill was great. Make sure you try their version ofthe Local Moco and the Avocado toast. The team atgarden grill were all very friendly and Gwen isone ofthe best servers wehave ever had the pleasure ofknowing.
